Also two amazing steel players, Leon McAuliffe with Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys and Joaquin Murphey with the Spade Cooley group (btw- Bob Wills is still king!)

thanks for the comment John... "befriending" has occurred :) Absolutely love it. I knows some folks up here in New England playing similar stuff. I started playing dobro and lap steel a few years back and while I'm not a western swing player, per se, I definitely look here for inspiration. Keep pickin n' singin'!!!
